1. Who we are
Guardian GPS Monitoring (“Guardian GPS,” “we,” “us”) provides electronic monitoring devices, software, and a 24/7 monitoring center to courts, supervision agencies, resellers, and the people they supervise. This policy covers this website and our monitoring services.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you call, email, or contact us, you may share your name, email address, phone number, organization, and the details of your request.
- Monitoring data. For participants enrolled through a court or agency program, our devices and apps collect location, check-in, curfew, tamper, and alert data as required by that program.
- Website data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your questions and set up programs, accounts, and devices.
- To deliver monitoring, alerting, and reporting to the supervising court, agency, or officer.
- To provide support, maintain security, and improve our products and website.
- To meet legal and contractual obligations.
4. Who sees monitoring data
Location and compliance data goes only to the assigned officer, court, or agency overseeing the program, and to the Guardian GPS staff who operate the monitoring service. Family members do not have access to monitoring data. Access is role-restricted and logged.
5. How we share information
We share personal information only with the supervising court, agency, or reseller partner responsible for the program; with service providers who help us run our systems under confidentiality obligations; and when required by law, court order, or to protect safety. We do not sell personal information.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based, and access and alerts are recorded in audit logs. No system is perfectly secure, but we design our platform to protect the information entrusted to us. See our Compliance page for more.
7. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the program, our contracts, and applicable law. Retention periods for monitoring data are set by the supervising court or agency and applicable regulations.
8. Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the contact information you have given us. Requests about monitoring data for a participant generally need to go through the supervising court or agency, which controls that data. Contact us using the details below.
9. Children
This website is not directed to children. Monitoring of minors happens only through court or agency programs and under the direction of that program.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
